Eye Allergies

Allergic conjunctivitis is inflammation or irritation of the clear mucous membrane lining the inner eyelids and sclera. This lining is called the conjunctiva. Allergic conjunctivitis can be seasonal or year-long, is caused by external allergens, and is not contagious. Schedule an exam today if you suspect an eye infection.

Cataracts

A cataract occurs when the natural lens in the eye becomes cloudy or yellowed. As this cloudiness progresses, patients begin to experience symptoms such as frequent script changes, difficulty with night glare, vision no longer appears clear and colors seem faded. Although most cataracts are associated with aging, cataracts can also occur from an eye injury, frequent exposure to the sun, or a medical condition.

Low Vision

More often than not, low vision cannot be corrected. The typical low vision patient is an older person living with macular degeneration. The office is located on Buckland Road in South Windsor, near the intersection of Route 74 and close to the Buckland Mall and Evergreen Walk shopping areas.
